Why Argentina?

It's a country that is never shy to celebrate - loving their fun, fiestas and festivals... and, of course, football!

  • The best time to visit Argentina is between November and April and, with an overnight flight from the UK, you can arrive ready to Tango!
  • As well as its famous sultry dance and football, Argentina is well know for its wine, steak, gauchos and ponies. As a visitor, you can enjoy these same activities by enrolling in polo lessons, visiting the Hippodrome to watch races, or taking a day trip for a ride through the country.
  • It doesn't stop there. There's also the Iguazu Falls and Glaciers National Park, both of which are established as Natural World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
  • Buenos Aires, a city of contrasts: tall, modern steel and glass skyscrapers now sit alongside century-old colonial style buildings. The City’s parks, gardens, hotels, restaurants and nightlife are even more vibrant today then they were fifty years ago. Flowers are sold at colourful corner stands, the smell of freshly baked bread wafts from well-stocked bakeries, terrace cafés can be found on every block, and pedestrians carry themselves with a fashionable flair.
  • Buenos Aires is simply one of the most exciting cities in the world.

A typical Programme in Buenos Aires...

  • In this programme you will get all the flavours of the Argentinian culture.

After being met at the airport from your overnight flight, your first stop will be the famous cafe “La Biela” in the heart of the exclusive Recoleta neighbourhood, to enjoy it´s classic Argentinean style breakfast.

A short tour of Buenos Aires and a light lunch, before check in at your hotel and some leisure time to adjust.

  • You will have the opportunity to visit two of the best known Argentinean cultural Icons. The morning will start with a visit to the local opera house, the magnificent Colon Theatre. Then on to the Evita Museum, perfect place to learn about the history of this controversial woman and her shoes!

Then you can learn how to cook one of the most typical dishes that you can find anywhere in Argentina, the delicious “empanadas” or we could include that irresistable Tango lesson where you will be introduced to the sultry dance of Tango by one of the most famous Argentinean Tango dancers and his family at Carlos Copello’s school.

Perhaps an evening visit to ‘Gala Tango’ one of the best tango shows in town to see how it’s really done?

  • To finish your Argentine experience, your last night will give you that real Gaucho experience at Estancia La Concepción.

  • On arrival some empanadas and an authentic Asado (argentinean BBQ) will be waiting for you. Then you will have some spare time to enjoy the estancia activities and facilities (swimming pool, horseback riding, carriage ride, tennis court, etc.)

  • Mid afternoon enjoy tea time with some homemade pastry followed by dinner at night, and a good night’s sleep before your journey home the next day.
